Valmet 901.3 X3M “Snake” & Twinch

A Valmet 901.3 X3M harvester working in Austria in a very steep slope, so the harvester needed to be secured with the Ecoforst t-winch. Logging tracks were so short, he pulled the trees up with the harvester. It was the machine with the most hours we’ve ever filmed.

RC Komatsu 855.1 Winch

A Komatsu 855.1 with a remote controlled 8 tonn winch and rc drive. This video shows the principle of it working. It is used for winching logs to the machine if bigger logging tracks intervals are used.
The modifications were made by Komatsu Forest Gmbh, Germany.

Komatsu 855.1 & Turnable Clamping Stacks

A Komatsu 855.1 with turnable clamping stacks. This modification was made by Komatsu Forest GmbH Germany, so you can switch between shortwood and long wood in a few minutes. The productivity of an ordinary clambunk is higher, but if you have to switch between long and short wood very often, a turnable clamping stack is better. This is a very popular modification in Germany.
